AFA Scotland is closely involved in undertaking a number of research projects across Scotland, and also provides regular updates to members about new and emerging Scottish, UK and international research developments.
Members who are looking for research to help inform practice or policy issues they are grappling with can contact AFA Scotland for advice. Our research updates (available at our meetings/groups and via the membership area) cover recently published research and research relevant to current issues or requests from members.
Additional useful resources, including subscription to Adoption & Fostering journal and online access to online access to Journal of Social Work and Qualitative Social Work, are also available to AFA Scotland's corporate members as part of the collaborative agreement with CoramBAAF, via the Coram BAAF website.
Our Research Associate works with a range of universities and academic centres, and is currently seconded part-time to the Centre of Child Well-being and Protection at University of Stirling. She also attends the CoramBAAF Research Group Advisory Committee three times a year.
