In March, following a successful bid to the Promise Partnership fund,  Jessica Cleary was appointed as Promise Implementation Lead and Murron Dempster as Promise Implementation Advisor. In line with these new appointments, AFA Scotland has launched a year-long development programme to ensure we are #KeepingThePromise.

In practical terms the first year of this Promise implementation plan will include an internal review of our organisation’s aims, focus and remit in response to the Promise Scotland’s Plan 21-24 and upcoming Change Programme One vision. We anticipate this review will result in developing materials and communities of support where required for our members within forums and the training we offer.

As this development programme evolves Jessica and Murron will provide regular Promise-related updates regarding both our own changes as well as sharing good practice from across the sector. In the meantime, please follow us on Twitter for regular updates on the Promise at @AFAScotland. Jessica is keen to hear from anyone who is also currently focusing on implementing the Promise across Scotland  – if you have recently established a similar Implementation Lead role please get in touch via email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
