AFA Scotland offers consultation to agencies where the involvement of someone with appropriate expertise and who is independent and impartial, can assist with case planning or in relation to more general service development.
Examples of situations where consultation is provided include:
Complex child care or fostering and adoption cases including those where the agency is involved in determining the most appropriate legal route to achieve the best plan for a child
Complaints against the agency or carer
Service reviews, either to inform the development of new services or to review situations following a serious incident
Running practice sessions - focusing on a small number of cases.
If you are interested in commissioning AFA Scotland to undertake a consultation, please get in touch to discuss the nature, scope and extent of the work involved.
